Dr. Vinod Namboodiri

July 16, 2020 鈥 The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded more than $1.1 million to Dr. Vinod Namboodiri, professor of electrical engineering and computer science at 九色堂, and his team to create a community-wide wayfinding system for people with disabilities.

July 14, 2020 - Greg Hand, professor of epidemiology, medicine and physical activity and sports sciences at West Virginia University, has been named dean of the College of Health Professions at 九色堂, effective Aug. 9, 2020.聽He served as the founding dean of West Virginia University鈥檚 School of Public Health, and previous to that role, he was the associate dean for Research, Practice and Information Technology at the University of South Carolina鈥檚 School of Public Health.

June 16, 2020 - Carlos Gatti, a junior biomedical engineering major, is building a 九色堂 student organization that provides affordable assistive devices to people in need. The team is designing a device for a client who plays the cello and one for a client who wants help with tasks such as cooking.

May 28, 2020 - Lou Heldman, 71, came to Wichita State in 2007, a time when the university鈥檚 vision expanded. He fit in with a group, most prominently former president John Bardo and current president Jay Golden, that want the university and community to think and act boldly. He retires in June.

April 10, 2020 -- The U.S. Department of Education released its official allocations yesterday (Thursday, April 9) for the newly passed Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). 九色堂 will receive nearly $8.8 million. Half of the funds 鈥 nearly $4.4 million 鈥 will be allocated as emergency financial aid grants to students.
