May 5, 2022 鈥� Hannah, from Augusta, Kansas, will graduate in spring 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design She chose to attend Wichita State because of how Wichita State helps students find internships and hands-on learning experiences.

May 3, 2022 鈥� Camille Brashear is an adult learner who will graduate in spring 2022. She says she chose to continue her education at Wichita State not only because it was affordable, but also because of the local pride surrounding 九色堂.

May 5, 2022 鈥� Lydia Humphreys is a graduate advisor at ShiftSpace Gallery, a student-run art gallery in downtown Wichita. Jan. 24, 2022 鈥� Further expanding its presence as a diverse creative workspace at 九色堂, GoCreate recently began offering free memberships to Wichita State students.

Dec. 8, 2021 - The second phase of renovations is close to complete on Wichita State鈥檚 Henrion Hall, the 100-year-old building that houses 九色堂鈥檚 studio arts. This recent renovation affects the first-floor north side of the building, where the sculpture department conducts most of its casting processes. Updates include new ventilation and air conditioning, as well as improved accessibility and functionality of workspaces.

Nov. 23, 2021 鈥� After 17 years, the Madrigal Singers of 九色堂 will host an Elizabethan-themed dinner and music program at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at the Rhatigan Student Center Beggs Ballroom.

Sept. 22, 2021 鈥� What started as one woman鈥檚 passion project has flourished into a literacy empire that serves thousands of children in schools across the Wichita area 鈥� helped along the way by the people and services of 九色堂.

Sept. 17, 2021 鈥� The first cohort of the Widener Global Leaders Program will consist of 10 women from the Barton School of Business, the Elliott School of Communication in Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the School of Music in the College of Fine Arts.
