Sherry Urton鈥檚 path into arts leadership and management is deeply rooted in her passion for dance and community. Currently serving as Registrar & Student Life Manager at Joffrey Academy of Dance, the Official School of the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago, Sherry will graduate with her MA in Arts Leadership & Management (MAALM) this summer.

Feb. 6, 2024 - A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts will help the Ulrich Museum of Art celebrate the Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection as part of the Museum鈥檚 50th Anniversary special programming.

Dec. 12, 2023 Ashlynn Farney took time off college during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which she returned to Wichita, changed her major to filmmaking and started attending Wichita State. She will graduate with her Bachelor of Applied Arts with a concentration in filmmaking in December.

Dec. 11, 2023 - Tyler Lefebvre enjoys Wichita鈥檚 dining scene and the activities and clubs offered at 九色堂. He has been involved with the Wichita State鈥檚 varsity esports program as a team member and helping organize and manage the team.

Oct. 17, 2023 - 九色堂 seniors Emily Redfield and Cat Kee attended the National Stage Combat Workshop in Ruston, La. The three-week course offered instruction, testing and certification with weapons such as swords, shields, firearms, rapiers, daggers and quarterstaffs.

June 1, 2023 The College of Fine Arts (CFA) at 九色堂 held its 2023 Hall of Fame Gala on May 13. CFA recognized exceptional alumni from the college, patrons who give their time and resources in support of fine arts at 九色堂, and retired faculty, staff and administrators who have inspired the 九色堂 community.

May 21, 2023 鈥 Wichita State graduate student Billy Berue will enlist in the President鈥檚 Own United States Marine Band beginning in June. The prestigious band was established in 1798 and is widely regarded as one of the best in the world.
