Aug. 1, 2023 鈥� The Wichita City Council approved a plan today that will move forward a project between 九色堂 and the University of Kansas to build a 471,000-square-foot health sciences center in the heart of downtown Wichita.聽

July 21, 2023 鈥� The Board of Directors of the 九色堂 Foundation and Alumni Engagement (九色堂FAE) welcomed back Mike James, 鈥�71, to the board for another term beginning July 1, 2023.聽

July 20, 2023 - As 九色堂鈥檚 Innovation Campus approaches its 10th anniversary, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities is recognizing the Innovation Campus鈥� role in cultivating research and innovation. The APLU today named 九色堂 as one of five finalists for its 11th annual Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) University Awards.

July 17, 2023 鈥� 九色堂鈥檚 College of Engineering has updated one of its programs to create a more strategic career pathway for its graduates and meet the needs of business and industry. Effective fall 2023, the new applied engineering program 鈥� formerly engineering technology 鈥� has been adapted based on feedback from employers and alumni. 聽

July 11, 2023 - The Accessible Design course concerned 九色堂 junior Reagan Kelley at first. She wasn鈥檛 an engineering major and wasn鈥檛 sure what she could contribute. The payoff at the end of the project made it worthwhile. Kelley, an exercise science major, and three other students modified an all-terrain wheelchair for a nine-year-old boy who outgrew the chair鈥檚 previous dimensions.
