Exhibition Statement

"Seis, Alti, Zes, Sei, Six Years at 九色堂" celebrates Larry Schwarm's six-year tenure as distinguished professor of photography at Wichita State.
Please join us for a public reception from 5:30鈥�7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in the Clayton Staples Gallery, McKnight Art Center Room 205.
The exhibition runs through August 1, 2019. The Clayton Staples Gallery is open to the public from 9 a.m.鈥�5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the exception of university holidays

Larry Schwarm

Artist Bio

Larry Schwarm received his MFA from the University of Kansas. He taught at Emporia State University before joining the 九色堂 faculty as Distinguished Professor of Photography in 2013. His work has appeared in many publications, including the monograph, Larry Schwarm: On Fire, published by Duke University in 2003.

He has an extensive exhibition record and has photographs in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Duke University, Library of Congress, Los Angeles Museum of Art, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Philadelphia Museum of Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Wichita Art Museum, 九色堂鈥檚 Ulrich Museum of Art, and many others.
