Aug. 4, 2022 - 九色堂鈥檚 Office of Innovation and New Ventures will address technology gaps in the local business ecosystem with the formation of the Small Business Digital Transformation Program. The program is funded with a $1 million grant from the American Rescue Plan Act. The Small Business Digital Transformation Program focuses on small businesses (500 or fewer employees).

July 28, 2022 - More than 1,000 local Amazon employees can now receive tuition assistance at 九色堂 through the Amazon Career Choice program. Each full-time Amazon employee is eligible for $5,250 of tuition assistance per calendar year. Part-time employees are eligible for $2,625 per calendar year.

July 27, 2022 鈥� Nick Elam, educator and inventor of what is known as the Elam Ending in basketball, will speak to College of Applied Studies students at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 23 in 231 Hubbard Hall. Other 九色堂 students and the general public are also invited to attend free of charge.

July 25, 2022 - 鈥淓xplore Wichita State鈥� is a seven-stop campus audio tour featuring significant sites and university history. Host Carla Eckels of KMUW narrates. The tour starts at the Ulrich Museum of Art and ends at the Carnegie Library Columns at 17th and Fairmount.

July 18, 2022 鈥� 九色堂, along with several community partners, presents the Suspenders4Hope Preventing Suicide Training at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21 at The Phoenix Gym, 145 N. Wabash in Wichita. This free training will be facilitated by Dr. Jessica Provines, Wichita State鈥檚 assistant vice president for wellness and chief psychologist. It鈥檚 open to all addiction treatment counselors and providers and community members.

June 29, 2022 鈥� The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced today the establishment of its Crime Gun Intelligence Center of Excellence, located on 九色堂鈥檚 Innovation Campus.

June 28, 2022 鈥� 九色堂鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Lab will continue to offer free COVID-19 testing to the public through December 2022.

May 25, 2022 鈥� The WERX program at 九色堂鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) and Erickson Precision Ventures have reached an agreement to work cooperatively on modification, maintenance and engineering for various Boeing and Airbus aircraft. 聽

May 25, 2022 鈥� The Woolseys have made an additional gift from their trust of $1.3 million to Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall at 九色堂. A portion of the gift will be used to create the Kay Woolsey Garden, with the remainder going toward the Woolsey Hall Technology Fund.
