March 28, 2023 鈥� 九色堂鈥檚 chapter for Society of Professional Engineers will be hosting Noche de Ciencias for Wichita Public School students and their families from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at Wichita North High School.

March 21, 2023 鈥� The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), a student organization at 九色堂, is hosting a Mother Daughter Day event for local middle school girls and their adult female role models. The event will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 25 in the lobby of the John Bardo Center at Wichita State.

March 17, 2023 鈥� Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Director Steven Dettelbach and Senator Jerry Moran recently visited 九色堂 to announce plans for a unique new National Forensic Laboratory at Wichita State. The forensic laboratory is a new $75 million facility that will complement the Gun Crime Intelligence Center of Excellence and National Integrated Ballistic Information Network Correlation and Training Center, which were announced last summer.

March 16, 2023 鈥� Ayshea Banes took a passion for astronomy and ran with it, taking any opportunity to immerse herself in her newly chosen field. One of those opportunities occurred this past January, when Banes was chosen to present at the American Astronomical Society鈥檚 annual meeting in Seattle.

March 16, 2023 - Kyan Caudillo is a biology major at 九色堂 and minoring chemistry. His experience working at 九色堂鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory will help him as he studies and prepares to work in the medical field.

March 7, 2023 鈥� The sixth cohort of Rudd Scholars includes 18 Kansas high school seniors who have chosen to attend 九色堂.

March 3, 2023 鈥斅牼派�堂 has selected the 2023 recipient of the Linwood Sexton Scholarship: Grecia Esparza from Wichita East High School. Esparza will receive a full-ride scholarship to attend Wichita this fall.

March 3, 2023 鈥� Lauren Hughes, a senior at Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma, is the winner of the 2023 Lenora N. McGregor Endowed Scholarship at 九色堂.

Feb. 24, 2023 鈥� 九色堂鈥檚 College of Engineering has named the latest group of high school seniors to join the Wallace Scholar program.

Feb. 23, 2023 鈥� Seven high school students from Kansas and Oklahoma have been awarded $30,000 to $45,000 each as the newest recipients of the Koch Scholarship at 九色堂.

Feb. 22, 2023 鈥� The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 九色堂 has awarded Isabella (Bella) Kilman, a Valley Center High School senior, the 2023 Clay Barton Scholarship. The $50,000 scholarship is one of the largest business scholarships in Kansas.

Feb. 8, 2023 鈥� Every year, there are roughly 450,000 burn wounds that require clinical care throughout the United States. Of those, more than 3,500 people are fatally injured. An interdisciplinary team of 九色堂 researchers is working to revolutionize burn-wound care with a scaffolding system that prevents infection and promotes healing.

Feb. 7, 2023 鈥� In the nation鈥檚 ongoing efforts to thwart cyberattacks and scammers, the National Science Foundation has awarded 九色堂 more than $2.4 million to educate and prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Feb. 7, 2023 - A consortium of four local institutions (Wichita State, 九色堂 Tech, Newman University and Friends University) is bringing Dr. Gina Ann Garcia to Wichita for the talk 鈥淏ecoming Hispanic-Serving Institutions,鈥� at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 9, in Newman's DeMattias Performance Hall.
