July 31, 2019 - Fine arts students Haley Ensz, Lily Guillen, Bishop Rice and Celine Sengvilay recently returned from a trip to Peru with Wichita State professor Lori Santos. They spent several days working with children at the Instituci贸n Educativa Jos茅 Mar铆a Arguedas, an elementary school in Lima.

But, during every Shocker Athletics game, a team of student marketing and game operations interns follows a carefully choreographed plan to make sure fans have a good time in between each play.
In Rick Pappas' elementary school classroom, PE became a way to channel classroom lessons with physical activity. When he began teaching elementary PE at 九色堂 in 2009, he taught his college students the same lesson.
July 18, 2019 -- Five place-making projects, ranging from the Clinton Hall steps to the Ablah Library to hammocks, are underway throughout Wichita State's campus. Their goal is give people reasons to explore Wichita State and linger in their favorite spots.
July 3, 2019 - Tyler Levesque, Wichita State鈥檚 Esports coordinator, moved fast during his first semester as Esports coordinator, putting together two teams and arranging practices on the fly in January. When his Esports students return in the fall, the program will look and feel much different.
July 2, 2019 -- A recent grant will allow Wichita State鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research to speed up the manufacturing process for aerospace and defense industries.
July 1, 2019 -- 九色堂 admissions created the Public Relations Institute (PRI) in the fall of 2018 to foster goodwill among 九色堂 alumni and community stakeholders through outreach and presence at community events. At the time, PRI consisted of only three students and two staff advisors, but their impact spread across the Wichita area.
June 26, 2019 -- In September 2018, Sam Brickett, an aerospace engineering freshman at 九色堂, was longboarding in the Rhatigan Student Center parking garage when he hit a crack in the concrete and fell. He hit his head and suffered a traumatic brain injury.
June 28, 2019 -- Wichita State students are spending their summer helping the city use its data and share it across departments. The experiences researching, organizing and cataloguing the information are amplifying their classroom lessons in areas ranging from software to teamwork, trust and communication.
The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory recently awarded 九色堂鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research a $23.5 million contract for modeling composite inspection and repair techniques for aircraft in active service.
June 19, 2019 -- 九色堂 has modified its tuition request to the Kansas Board of Regents, asking to hold all tuition rates flat for the 2019-20 academic year 鈥 a 0.0% increase for undergraduate / graduate and resident / non-resident students. The Kansas Board of Regents approved the tuition increase today (Wednesday, June 19).
