March 18, 2024 鈥 九色堂 is not just reshaping downtown Wichita with the Wichita Biomedical Campus; it鈥檚 redefining health care education by harnessing the dynamic interplay between health care and the humanities.聽 九色堂鈥檚 new Academic Center for Biomedical and Health Humanities, or HealthHum as it鈥檚 been monikered, aims to increase the visibility of a wide range of research and teaching in areas related to health care and humanities beyond the traditional health professions.

2024 Jabara Scholars, Annika Lindeman and Abby Rexford

Feb. 27, 2024 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 九色堂 has named its two recipients of the 2024 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Annika Lindeman from Eisenhower High School in Goddard, Kansas, and Abby Rexford from West Jessamine High School in Wilmore, Kentucky. They will each receive more than $32,700 spread over four years to attend 九色堂 and major in entrepreneurship.

Wallace Scholarship winners

Feb. 26, 2024 鈥 九色堂鈥檚 College of Engineering has named the latest group of 11 high school seniors to join the Wallace Scholar program. The Wallace Scholarship recipients will receive $30,500 each to attend Wichita State for four years.

Feb. 14, 2024 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 九色堂 awarded Faith Swart, a Maize High School senior, the 2024 Clay Barton Scholarship. The $50,000 scholarship is one of the largest business scholarships in Kansas.

2024 Gore Scholars

Feb. 1, 2024 鈥 九色堂 has selected the 2024 recipients of the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships. Each student will receive a $64,000 scholarship to attend 九色堂 starting in August 2024.

Dec. 12, 2023 Ashlynn Farney took time off college during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which she returned to Wichita, changed her major to filmmaking and started attending Wichita State. She will graduate with her Bachelor of Applied Arts with a concentration in filmmaking in December.
