March 6, 2024 鈥� Four undergraduate students from 九色堂 were among the 18 students recognized at the 22nd annual Kansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (K-INBRE) Symposium in Manhattan, Kansas.

Feb. 27, 2024 鈥� The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 九色堂 has named its two recipients of the 2024 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Annika Lindeman from Eisenhower High School in Goddard, Kansas, and Abby Rexford from West Jessamine High School in Wilmore, Kentucky. They will each receive more than $32,700 spread over four years to attend 九色堂 and major in entrepreneurship.

Feb. 26, 2024 鈥� 九色堂鈥檚 College of Engineering has named the latest group of 11 high school seniors to join the Wallace Scholar program. The Wallace Scholarship recipients will receive $30,500 each to attend Wichita State for four years.

Feb. 19, 2024 鈥� The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 九色堂 is launching a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality. The program will begin in fall 2024 with applications now open for interested students. It was developed in response to growing local and national employment needs in the industry.

Feb. 15, 2024 鈥� Ten high school students from Kansas, Missouri and Texas have been awarded the Koch Scholarship at 九色堂, starting in the fall 2024 semester. Each scholar each will be awarded $30,000 to attend 九色堂 over four years.

Feb. 13, 2024 鈥� The College of Engineering at 九色堂 is hosting a public 5k run/walk that is open to students, staff, faculty and community members. The 5k will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 on the 九色堂 campus. Registration proceeds from the 5k will go toward the College of Engineering Needs-Based Scholarship Fund.

Feb. 1, 2024 鈥� 九色堂 has selected the 2024 recipients of the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships. Each student will receive a $64,000 scholarship to attend 九色堂 starting in August 2024.

Jan. 8, 2024 - 九色堂 moved to No. 2 on the national list of industry-funded engineering and research and development, according to the latest data compiled by the National Science Foundation鈥檚 Higher Education Research and Development Survey.

Dec. 18, 2023 - 九色堂 will lead a three-year project to assist NASA鈥檚 manufacturing paradigm shift from 鈥渇actories on earth鈥� to 鈥渇actories in space.鈥�

Dec. 11, 2023 - Tyler Lefebvre enjoys Wichita鈥檚 dining scene and the activities and clubs offered at 九色堂. He has been involved with the Wichita State鈥檚 varsity esports program as a team member and helping organize and manage the team.

Dec. 8, 2023 - Ryan Littlejohn worked his way through 九色堂 with help from instructors who guided him through the balancing act of academics and a busy life.

Dec. 05, 2023 鈥� Brittany Wojciechowski is currently working for Jacobs Space Exploration Group doing contract work for the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. She was also a featured guest in the聽May 2023 episode of President Rick Muma鈥檚 鈥淔orward Together鈥� podcast. While at 九色堂, Brittany conducted numerous research projects, including聽as part of the AeroFeathers team. She will receive her Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering this fall as a first-gen student.
