March 18, 2019 -- The Shocker community came out Monday, March 18, to honor and mourn Wichita State President John Bardo, who died March 12.

March 12, 2019 -- John W. Bardo, president of 九色堂, died March 12, 2019. He was 70 years old.

March 8, 2019 -- Having direct access to students鈥� talent and skills is a huge part of why Airbus Americas moved to the Wichita State campus two years ago. One of those opportunities for collaboration played out perfectly this winter when Airbus officials in the research and technology department needed a last-minute artistic rendering for an airplane seat under development.

March 5, 2019 -- 九色堂 has been awarded $4.2 million dollars in funding from the U.S. Department of Education to implement GEAR UP in Haysville school district USD 216 through 2025. Every student in 6th and 7th grade will benefit from GEAR UP鈥檚 college prep resources.

Feb. 26, 2019 -- Two Wichita State Public Health Sciences faculty members are focusing their research on health equity for women in Kansas. The researchers have been approved for a $250,000 Engagement Award for their project 鈥淲omen Involved Network (WIN for Kansas): Community Collaboration to Create Health Equity.鈥�

Jan. 18, 2019 -- A 九色堂 interdisciplinary team has been accepted to participate in the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps program for a device they created that could make a huge difference in orofacial research.

Jan. 18, 2019 -- A new partnership between 九色堂 and Wichita Transit will allow students, faculty and staff to ride city buses for free and travel to and from campus on weekend evenings on the Q-Line Trolley service.

Jan 18, 2019 -- In November, Master of Innovation Design student Kristyn Smith worked with HAS HEART, a Michigan-based nonprofit organization that connects veterans to graphic designers from each state to tell their story through mediums of art, design, and fashion.

Jan. 17, 2019 -- 2018 Wichita State alumnus Brock Milford has won the prestigious FAA Centers of Excellence DOT Secretary of Transportation Student RAISE Award.

Dec 10, 2018 -- Six Wichita State students have been named University Innovation Fellows by Stanford University鈥檚 Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.

Nov. 15, 2018 -- 九色堂 is participating in a massive new effort in which 130 public universities and systems will work together to increase college access, close the achievement gap, and award hundreds of thousands more degrees by 2025.
