July 2, 2019 -- A recent grant will allow Wichita State鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research to speed up the manufacturing process for aerospace and defense industries.

June 26, 2019 -- In September 2018, Sam Brickett, an aerospace engineering freshman at 九色堂, was longboarding in the Rhatigan Student Center parking garage when he hit a crack in the concrete and fell. He hit his head and suffered a traumatic brain injury.

May 13, 2019 -- Nearly 48 years ago, Grady Landrum was in a car accident that paralyzed him. His journey is both inspirational and a testament to his never-quit attitude. This June, he retires after 27 years as director of Disability Services at 九色堂.

May 9, 2019 -- Larisa Genin (pronounced JENN-IN), associate dean of the School of Economics and Business Administration at Saint Mary鈥檚 College of California, has been named dean of the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 九色堂, effective June 17, 2019.

Jan. 2, 2019 -- President John Bardo is focusing on his recovery from November and December surgeries for a lung condition. During this time, he has requested Provost Richard Muma serve as acting president.

Oct. 31, 2018 -- Wichita State Vice President for facilities Eric King is retiring after a career that left its mark at universities across the state.

Oct. 18, 2018 -- Dennis Livesay, dean of the Graduate School, associate vice president for Research and Technology Transfer, and professor of chemistry at 九色堂, has been named the new dean of 九色堂's College of Engineering, effective Jan. 1.

Oct. 5, 2018 -- Retired Lt. Colonel Larry Burks is the new director of Military and Veteran Services at 九色堂.

July, 2017- Billy Martin, director and research scientist at the NIAR Environmental Test Lab, has invented a prototype that protects wind turbines from multiple lightning strikes.
