July 1, 2019 -- 九色堂 admissions created the Public Relations Institute (PRI) in the fall of 2018 to foster goodwill among 九色堂 alumni and community stakeholders through outreach and presence at community events. At the time, PRI consisted of only three students and two staff advisors, but their impact spread across the Wichita area.

May 21, 2019 - Four 九色堂 aerospace engineering students have placed seventh in NASA鈥檚 Student Launch Initiative competition. The team designed, built and launched a rocket to complete a simulated Moon mission.
