April 16, 2019 -- Ryan Kendall, a senior from Pelham, Alabama, is a computer science major who took the long route to Wichita State鈥檚 Selected Team. He didn鈥檛 make the team as a freshman and spent the past two seasons on the Developmental Team. Wichita State coach Gordon Vadakin estimates around 10 percent of the bowlers who don鈥檛 make the team in their early years continue to try out for a spot on the Selected Team.
April 15, 2019 -- A series of events honoring the life of late Wichita State President John Bardo will be held May 6-10 on campus. Dr. Bardo, the 13th president of 九色堂, died March 12 after a long illness.
April 15, 2019 -- Brady Hatter sees the university campus as a giant garden. And every garden, he says, is a potential gallery in need of art. This Earth Day, Hatter will make his latest artistic contribution to the Wichita State canvas when his Earth Pod west of the Woodman Alumni Center is dedicated as part of the Earth Day Picnic at the Pod from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, April 22.
April 5, 2019 -- 九色堂 is one of just 78 universities and colleges in the United States to be named to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society鈥檚 2019 Transfer Honor Roll.
March 29, 2019 -- Wichita State and Butler Community College sign more than a dozen partnerships that will help Butler students earn a bachelor's degree at 九色堂.
March 22, 2019 -- Chase Rawlings, a local 3rd grader, was born without a fully developed left hand. A team at 九色堂 led by senior engineering major Chelsea Sewell created a 3D-printed robotic hand for Chase.
March 19, 2019 -- Registration is now open for Wichita State鈥檚 鈥淒esign, Build, Code鈥 engineering summer camps. This year, the College of Engineering is hosting 21 camps, a record number, with new offerings for younger children and new camps that allow campers to design, build and code their own inventions, drones, robots and mini-computers.
March 18, 2019 - Wichita State physician assistant students spent their day off from classes on Martin Luther King Jr. Day performing community service.
March 5, 2019 -- 九色堂 has been awarded $4.2 million dollars in funding from the U.S. Department of Education to implement GEAR UP in Haysville school district USD 216 through 2025. Every student in 6th and 7th grade will benefit from GEAR UP鈥檚 college prep resources.
