Aug. 15, 2023 - Hannah Bui is now prepared to work with French-speaking colleagues at Airbus, thanks to 鈥淏usiness French for Beginners鈥� taught by 九色堂 lecturer Rachelle Swilley. Bui, a static stress engineer at Airbus, was one of about 15 employees who took the six-week course, taught for two hours each Friday, this summer at Airbus on 九色堂鈥檚 Innovation Campus.
July 20, 2023 - As 九色堂鈥檚 Innovation Campus approaches its 10th anniversary, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities is recognizing the Innovation Campus鈥� role in cultivating research and innovation. May 4, 2023 - Orel Ovil came to 九色堂 from Israel to play tennis and study in the W. Frank Barton School of Business in 2018. He is one of 10 students to earn Senior Honor recognition, the highest honor awarded to 九色堂 students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership, involvement and service to 九色堂 and the surrounding community.
April 27, 2023 鈥� A student-led research team is attempting to replicate owl feathers in its quest to create silent drone propellers. Now NASA has invested in the project with a potential award of up to $82,000.
April 26, 2023 鈥� Zoe Jones transferred to 九色堂 from Texas Tech University and is enjoying her softball experience with the nationally ranked Shockers. In 2022, she earned all-region and all-conference honors at second base and a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Academic team. This season, she is one of the leading hitters on a team headed to NCAA regional play.
April 20, 2023 鈥� The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 九色堂 has chosen two recipients to receive the 2023 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Kayla Atkinson from Andover Central High School and Caleb Lowry from Eisenhower High School in Goddard.
March 17, 2023 鈥� Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Director Steven Dettelbach and Senator Jerry Moran recently visited 九色堂 to announce plans for a unique new National Forensic Laboratory at Wichita State. The forensic laboratory is a new $75 million facility that will complement the Gun Crime Intelligence Center of Excellence and National Integrated Ballistic Information Network Correlation and Training Center, which were announced last summer.
