May 18, 2022 鈥 After winning the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship, the Wichita State Varsity Esports Valorant team qualified for a direct bid to compete in the Collegiate Esports Commissioners Cup, a milestone for 九色堂's Esports program.

Cameron McGinley

May 16, 2022 - Cameron McGinley鈥檚 work with machine learning with Dr. Sergio Salinas grew into one of the most rewarding parts of his education at Wichita State. McGinley will attend the University of California, San Diego for a Master of Science in computer science. Cameron is one of more than 2,400 students eligible for spring 2022 graduation. May 11, 2022 鈥 Former 九色堂 students might remember Clinton Hall as a dark and cold building, but starting in September, it will begin its metamorphosis into the bright and welcoming Shocker Success Center. This project will completely transform Clinton Hall into a holistic resource for student services, said Elizabeth King, president and CEO of the 九色堂 Foundation. Centralizing access to these services will help students stay on course to graduate.

May 9, 2022 鈥 Five 九色堂 women were honored with the Women for Women Innovation Award for spring 2022. The Women for Women's Innovation Fund is awarded to 九色堂 students to support innovative ideas that show promise of commercialization.

National Institute for Research and Digitial Transformation

May 6, 2022 鈥 The steel columns and beams rising on the east edge of the Innovation Campus will soon provide a physical centerpiece for the ongoing work of digital transformation at 九色堂. The National Institute for Research and Digital Transformation will occupy the building at 18th Street and Oliver by spring 2023.

Maria Romero Rodriguez

May 3, 2022 鈥 Maria Romero Rodriguez came to 九色堂 from Madrid, Spain to study and compete in the pentathlon and heptathlon for the track and field team. She will graduate in May and compete at Cessna Stadium in the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships with her family in attendance.

Credit Union of America pledges $250,000 gift, recognized as Champion for 九色堂 College of Applied Studies

May 2, 2022 鈥 Credit Union of America was recognized today as a 2022 Champion for Wichita State鈥檚 College of Applied Studies, honoring its ongoing engagement and financial support of the future educators of Kansas. CUA has pledged an additional $250,000 to the college to continue funding the Corbin Connect program, ongoing technology needs, scholarships, and programming for CAS students.
