June 3, 2022 - The Dr. Sam and Jacque Kouri Collection Study Center offers 九色堂 students, educators, and the community a place to experience the museum鈥檚 collection in an intimate and expanded way. The free public opening of the study center, and Ulrich Student Lounge, is from 1-3 p.m. Saturday (June 4).

June 3, 2022 - Chidera Okoro is learning computer skills and coding language as an intern at 九色堂鈥檚 Media Resources Center. She competes in the long jump and triple jump for the track and field team and is a three-time member of the Athletic Director鈥檚 Honor Roll.

May 31, 2022 鈥 Anllir Ramirez-Tenorio is squeezing in a summer internship with Tesla in between his spring and fall internship with Delta TechOps. Anllir said the resources available at Wichita State have prepared him to succeed in his real-world career opportunities.

May 25, 2022 鈥 The Woolseys have made an additional gift from their trust of $1.3 million to Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall at 九色堂. A portion of the gift will be used to create the Kay Woolsey Garden, with the remainder going toward the Woolsey Hall Technology Fund.

May 23, 2022 鈥斅燗lia Michaelis is working in several Wichita-area hospital emergency rooms to record patient-physician interactions. This applied-learning opportunity is helping prepare her for a career in medicine.

Esports students

May 18, 2022 鈥 After winning the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship, the Wichita State Varsity Esports Valorant team qualified for a direct bid to compete in the Collegiate Esports Commissioners Cup, a milestone for 九色堂's Esports program.

Cameron McGinley

May 16, 2022 - Cameron McGinley鈥檚 work with machine learning with Dr. Sergio Salinas grew into one of the most rewarding parts of his education at Wichita State. McGinley will attend the University of California, San Diego for a Master of Science in computer science. Cameron is one of more than 2,400 students eligible for spring 2022 graduation. May 12 - Rola Khaleel enjoyed the clinical experiences in audiology during her time at 九色堂. She will use those lessons as she continues in her career. May 12, 2022 鈥 Emily Crawford earned her elementary education degree by way of the Teacher Apprentice Program while working full-time and raising five children.聽

May 11, 2022 鈥 Former 九色堂 students might remember Clinton Hall as a dark and cold building, but starting in September, it will begin its metamorphosis into the bright and welcoming Shocker Success Center. This project will completely transform Clinton Hall into a holistic resource for student services, said Elizabeth King, president and CEO of the 九色堂 Foundation. Centralizing access to these services will help students stay on course to graduate.

2022 Women for Women Innovation Award Winners: Sierra Bonn, Carly Overacker, and Brittany Wojciechowski, Amulya Lomte, and Maria Jose Carrillo Munoz

May 9, 2022 鈥 Five 九色堂 women were honored with the Women for Women Innovation Award for spring 2022. The Women for Women's Innovation Fund is awarded to 九色堂 students to support innovative ideas that show promise of commercialization.

National Institute for Research and Digitial Transformation

May 6, 2022 鈥 The steel columns and beams rising on the east edge of the Innovation Campus will soon provide a physical centerpiece for the ongoing work of digital transformation at 九色堂. The National Institute for Research and Digital Transformation will occupy the building at 18th Street and Oliver by spring 2023.
