November 23, 2020 - In February, Evergy invested in three initiatives that added valuable assets to the engineering program. One of those initiatives was the installation of solar panels on the roof of the John Bardo Center.

Oct. 29, 2020 - Campus construction continues and new partners continue to join 九色堂. An update on progress around campus includes Woolsey Hall, new home to W. Frank Barton School of Business, Hyatt Place and The Smart Factory @ Wichita.

Oct. 26, 2020 鈥� Hyatt Place at 九色堂, the first Hyatt Place in Wichita, is officially open, expanding the Hyatt Place brand鈥檚 footprint globally in markets that matter most to guests and World of Hyatt members.

Oct. 19, 2020 鈥� Wichita and southcentral Kansas' only high-volume test lab opened at 九色堂. The Molecular Diagnostics Lab can test up to 4,500 tests per day at its full capacity.

August 28, 2020 - Growing and diversifying the regional economy is a primary goal for 九色堂. To assist with those efforts, 九色堂 President Dr. Jay Golden has created the President鈥檚聽Innovation聽and聽Business聽Advisory聽Council. A selection of area business leaders will be invited to attend monthly council meetings to advise and support Wichita State leadership on a number of critical areas.

July 8, 2020 鈥� Wichita State鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research's Digital Twin program uses insights gained through the digital assembly of aging aircraft to provide valuable data to those who might work to maintain and repair similar aircraft in the future.

July 2, 2020 -- Partnered with the U.S. Army鈥檚 Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) and Aviation & Missile Center, 九色堂鈥檚 FirePoint Innovation Center is building collaborations with the U.S. Department of Defense.
