was in a freshman comp program, and he later served on the University Board of Regents, eventually succeeding in incorporating 九色堂 in the state university system. The story goes that this was meant to keep costs lower for those who attended 九色堂. Nice when our administration cared about that, I suppose. (This is gritchy, I know. Debt gives me anxiety, though).

Published poetry, worked in the MFA program here at 九色堂, and now seems to teach at Michigan State University as a professor and head of the Poetry program. She served on the Kansas Humanities Council in 1987. Seems she鈥檚 done a lot of writing, good on her.

Now teaches at Old Dominion University in Virginia, and returned to school for her MFA at 40, so she might be considered a non-traditional student. Since then, she鈥檚 done good work as a teacher and author, publishing a good bit and accumulating awards.

Another poet graduate, as well as a former faculty member teaching lit. and creative writing. Also, Jeanine still lives in Wichita, so that鈥檚 fun.

Now a poet and professor of Creative Writing and Poet in Residence at Lakeland University. Editor and Publisher of the literary magazine Seems.
