- All incoming freshman are required to take one First-Year Seminar as part of their General Education program. Students who are exempt from First-Year Seminar requirements may take an additional open elective.
- At least 12 of the 15 technical elective hours must be departmental, i.e., from SoC or ECE. Up to 2 credit hours of Co-op can be used as non-departmental.
