About Donald J. Wheeler
Donald J. Wheeler has been planting the seeds of transformation in companies and organizations around the world for more than 25 years.
His seminars have been the foundation for establishing learning cultures within many
organizations in various industries. Unlike so many classes where the emphasis is upon teaching techniques, Wheeler's seminars go far beyond mere techniques to teaching the way of thinking needed to use those techniques effectively.
His successes include companies in information technology, chemical processing, health care, medical equipment, steel and aluminum production, electronics, agribusiness, food production and processing, aeronautics, pulp and paper processing, automotive suppliers, government agencies, and banking.
Wheeler has taught more than 1,000 seminars in the United States, Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, South Africa, Brazil and Malaysia. He has also had students from more than 30 countries attend his public seminars.
Along with his acclaimed seminars, Wheeler has also written 20 books that collectively form the definitive library for Discovery through Data Analysis. He has authored or co-authored countless papers, is frequently invited to address meetings of managers and makes
many presentations to professional groups. His books are now being used in more than 40 countries around the world.
Wheeler has M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in statistics from Southern Methodist University.
He taught at the University of Tennessee for 12 years where he was an associate professor of statistics. He was a student and associate of W. Edwards Deming for 21 years, and he is one of a handful of individuals to be elected as Fellow of both the American Statistical Association and the American Society for Quality.
Wheeler is the internationally recognized expert on SPC and data analysis. He
has the knowledge, the experience and the ability to clearly communicate that knowledge andexperience to others.
